American Factfinder Gateway to census information from the U.S. Census Bureau. Data from 1990 and 2000 fully available at this site, plus some historical data. Census information also available in print at the Main Library in reference and in government documents storage C3.223

Congressional Directory The official handbook of the US Congress including biographical sketches of legislators, committee assignments, congressional boards and commissions. Earlier editions available back to 1885 (48th Congress) in government documents storage Y4.P93/1

Congressional Record 1995 through current year available online.

Federal Register The official daily publication for Rules, Proposed Rules, and Notices of Federal agencies and organizations as well as Executive Orders and other Presidential Documents. Issues back to 1995 available online.

Serial Set The U.S. Congressional Serial Set contains the House and Senate Documents and the House and Senate Reports. Grand Valley State University houses the majority of our library's historical Serial Set (years 1817-) in the Seidman House collection. Our library has the Serial Set on microfiche (1979-) in government documents storage. In addition, the Library of Congress has digitized over one hundred Serial Set volumes and made them available online.

Butterworth #2 Landfill Superfund Site The Grand Rapids Public Library is an EPA Depository for documents related to this superfund site. The paperdocuments have been indexed and reside in the Local History Department, and they are also available on CDat the Main and Westside locations.
